Extrusion

Our standard of highest product quality and precision begins at the very first stages of manufacture. Utmost care and faultless working practices are the key to high-quality products. When designing our manufacturing system, therefore, we have ensured that our machines are configured precisely to allow for the lowest tolerances in the tubing diameter.

We extrude silicone tubings in cleanrooms (ISO Class 8) using state-of-the-art production plants which are designed especially for processing silicone. On the basis of our many years of material expertise, we have proven the process capability and stability of our plants using CAD-based flow simulations and thus are able to ensure utmost precision.

Quality Standards at HME

Using in-line controlled processes and continuous quality monitoring, we produce precision tubing which forms the basis of our Helix Mark® quality brand tubing range. We can of course gladly develop and manufacture individual tubing according to customers’ requirements. Using standard tools that can also be deployed at other Helix manufacturing sites, we offer you all-round safety in the production of your components.

HME Product Portfolio

Besides standard silicone tubing, our product portfolio also includes a broad range of tubing for special applications, for example:

• Tubing for peristaltic pumps
• Braided reinforced tubing
• Colour stripe tubing
• Radio opaque tubing

Our own technology for integrating colour striping ensures that only silicone material approved for this purpose comes into contact with the environment. This ensures the highest degree of safety and purity in our tubing. In addition to colour stripe tubing, we also extrude products with radio opaque material which enables the tubing to be precisely positioned in the organism.
